全台登革熱本土病例飆破萬例，死亡個案也繼續增加，讓民眾聽「蚊」色變。全省跑透透的民視《綜藝大集合》班底，為工作無可避免地要長時間待在戶外，16日前往彰化錄影的主持人胡瓜，難得穿上長褲，提到過去在花蓮被「小黑蚊」叮咬造成蜂窩性組織炎，因此對防蚊更加謹慎。

胡瓜出外景被小黑蚊叮咬，又泡到髒水造成感染，演變為蜂窩性組織炎，有了慘痛的經驗，因此對於登革熱的疫情更加嚴肅看待，並且隨身攜帶天然的防蚊乳液做為屏障，也特別提醒民眾要定期清掃積水。

常以自身經驗提醒董至成、阿翔和謝忻的胡瓜，看到他們也各有各的防蚊辦法，胡瓜笑說為了看出到底誰的防蚊的用品及方法最有效，也約定在大集合錄影結束後算誰被蚊子叮咬的包數最少，以後就都使用他的防蚊方法。
